Forecast Track and Intensity

Uwan is expected to pass close to Polillo Islands before making landfall over the central portion of Aurora tonight or early tomorrow (November 10). A direct hit over Calaguas and Polillo Islands is likely due to the storm’s large eyewall. After landfall, Uwan will traverse the mountainous terrain of Northern Luzon and emerge over Lingayen Gulf or La Union’s coastal waters by Monday morning. It will gradually weaken but remain a typhoon as it turns northward toward Taiwan midweek.
