By Entire Benguet Under Yellow Rainfall Warning as Habagat Rains Continue
The entire province of Benguet is under a Yellow Rainfall Warning as rains brought by the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat continue to affect Northern Luzon.
PAGASA’s Northern Luzon PAGASA Regional Services Division (NLPRSD) issued Heavy Rainfall Warning No. 26 at 5:00 PM on Monday, August 10, 2026.
Yellow Rainfall Warning Over Benguet
The Yellow Rainfall Warning now covers all of Benguet, including Baguio City.
According to PAGASA, flooding and landslides may occur in flood-prone and landslide-prone areas.
Residents, particularly those living near mountain slopes, waterways, low-lying areas, and locations with a history of flooding or landslides, are advised to remain alert and take necessary precautions.
Rains Continue Across Northern Luzon
Light to moderate, and at times heavy rains, are currently being experienced over:
- La Union
- Ilocos Sur
- Portions of Ilocos Norte
- Santa Fe and Kayapa in Nueva Vizcaya
- Tinoc and Hungduan in Ifugao
- Pangasinan
- Abra
- Kalinga
- Portions of Mountain Province
- Portions of Cagayan
- Dingalan, Aurora
These conditions may persist within the next two to three hours and may affect nearby areas.
More Areas May Experience Rain
Similar weather conditions are expected within the next two to three hours over:
- The rest of Ilocos Norte
- Apayao
- The rest of Mountain Province
- Banaue, Hingyon, Kiangan, and Asipulo in Ifugao
- Portions of Nueva Vizcaya
- The rest of Cagayan
- Baler, Maria Aurora, and San Luis in Aurora
- Portions of Isabela
Public Advised to Remain Alert
PAGASA advised the public and concerned Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices to continue monitoring weather conditions.
Residents along mountain slopes are advised to remain alert for possible landslides, mudslides, rockslides, and flash floods as rains continue.
The next Heavy Rainfall Warning is scheduled to be issued at 8:00 PM today, August 10, 2026.
