PAGASA: “Habagat” will continue to bring rains in the next five days




The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has announced on Monday that the Southwest Monsoon or “Habagat” may continue to prevail in the next five (5) days.





In the special weather outlook for the upcoming State of the Nation Address (SONA) of the President of the Philippines, PAGASA stated that the western section of Luzon including Metro Manila will experience cloudy skies with scattered light to moderate with at times heavy rains and isolated thunderstorms. Although no tropical cyclone is expected, moderate to strong southwesterly winds will prevail.

In a separate weather advisory, the weather bureau stated that moderate to heavy with at times intense rains over Ilocos Region, Zambales, Bataan, and Occidental Mindoro will be experienced. Metro Manila, Abra, Benguet, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, and Batangas will also experience light to moderate with at times heavy rains.
