We have been constantly reminded by our parents to wash our hands. And we might feel lazy at times to do this but we need to get rid of germs especially right after visiting someone who is sick.

One tip to do handwashing properly is to sing “Happy Birthday” twice while scrubbing the backs of your hands, between the fingers, and under your nails.

Wear clothes that will keep you warm

It’s time to bring out the coats, scarfs and boots from your closet. There’s no doubt, you can still look fabulous without worrying abiout the cold that you’ll deal with outside. So prepare all those stuff that will keep you warm and walk outside with confidence!

Take your vitamins.

Vitamins C and D are very important because they help you keep cough and colds at bay.

Drink lots of water.

Avoid dehydration by drinking at least 2 to 3 liters a day and always bring water with you.

Choose to eat healthy.

According to Columbia Health, “Eating extra healthy fats during the winter can help rev up metabolism, which in turn heats the body.”

Aside from this, make sure to eat fruits rich in Vitamin C; vegetables that are good sources of iron; and fish such as salmon and cod, as well as milk, eggs and cheese, which are all great sources of vitamin B12.
