Several Areas in Luzon Still on Signal No. 1 Due to Tropical Depression “Ofel”



PAGASA Update as of 8:00 AM, October 14 , 2020

At 2:30 AM today (Wednesday), October 14, 2020, the Tropical Depression “Ofel” has made landfall in Can-avid, Eastern Samar and at 6:00 AM on the same day, the center of the tropical depression made its second landfall in the vicinity of Matnog, Sorsogon.

This report was provided by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) through their Tropical Cyclone Warning, issued at 8:00 AM today which is valid only until their next advisory.

PAGASA Update as of 11:00 AM, October 14 , 2020

On the latest Tropical Cyclone Warning issued by PAGASA at 11:00 AM today, it is reported that the center of Tropical Depression “Ofel” was estimated at 50 km West of Juban, Sorsogon at 10:00 AM.

Furthermore, according to PAGASA, the tropical depression will move west-northwestward over the inland seas of Southern Luzon and may pass close or over Romblon and Mindoro Provinces and is likely to emerge over the West Philippine Sea tomorrow morning and exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Friday morning or afternoon.

This broadcast is valid until the next advisory which is to be issued by PAGASA at 2:00 PM today.
