The Low Pressure Area (LPA) at East of Eastern Samar has developed into Tropical Depression “Ofel” at 2:00 PM today (Tuesday), October 13, 2020. At 4:00 PM of the same day, the center of Tropical Depression “Ofel” was estimated at 115 km East Southeast of Guiuan, Eastern Samar.
This update is based on the latest Tropical Cyclone Warning issued by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) at 5:00 PM today. The broadcast is valid until the next advisory which is to be issued at 8:00 PM today.
According to PAGASA, “Ofel” will move generally north-northwestward today through tomorrow afternoon and will make landfall over the Eastern Samar-Northern Samar area tomorrow morning.
Furthermore, the tropical depression will move northwestward or west-northwestward traversing the southern portion of Southern Luzon by tomorrow afternoon.
For those who are in areas under the Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1, PAGASA suggests you to inspect your house if necessary repair/fixing is needed, clean up the drainage system, harvest crops that can be yielded, and monitor the latest Severe Weather Bulletin.
