Several Cordillera Roads Not Passable as of 5 PM, August 14

Several road sections in Benguet, Kalinga, and Mountain Province remain not passable as of 5:00 PM on August 14, 2026, including Kennon Road and portions of the Benguet-Nueva Vizcaya Road, Baguio-Itogon Road, and Gov. Bado Dangwa National Road, according to the latest advisory from DPWH-Cordillera.

The Department of Public Works and Highways-Cordillera Administrative Region (DPWH-CAR) released an updated list of roads that remain not passable across the region as of Friday afternoon.

Motorists are advised to avoid the affected sections, use the designated alternate routes where available, and continue monitoring official road advisories before traveling.

Baguio-Bound Roads

Kennon Road

Kennon Road remains not passable.

Motorists may use the following alternate routes:

  • Marcos Highway
  • Asin-Nangalisan-San Pascual-La Union Boundary Road
  • Naguilian Road

Benguet-Nueva Vizcaya Road

A section of the Benguet-Nueva Vizcaya Road at Beckel, La Trinidad, Benguet remains not passable.

Alternate routes are:

  • Marlboro-Beckel Road
  • Labey-Lacamen Road

Other Roads Not Passable in Benguet

Baguio-Itogon Road

The Baguio-Itogon Road remains not passable at Sitio Goldfield, Barangay Poblacion, Itogon, Benguet.

Alternate route: Ucab-Midas Road

Abatan-Mankayan-Cervantes Road

A section of the Abatan-Mankayan-Cervantes Road at Tabio, Mankayan, Benguet is not passable.

Motorists may use:

  • For light vehicles: Bayoyo-Tabio Road
  • For heavy vehicles: Paco-Colalo Bypass Road

Gov. Bado Dangwa National Road

A section of the Gov. Bado Dangwa National Road at Bangho, Daclan, Benguet is also not passable.

Alternate route for light vehicles: Suyoc-Baayan-Posos Provincial Road

Kalinga

Tabuk-Banaue via Tanudan-Barlig Road

A section of the Tabuk-Banaue via Tanudan-Barlig Road at Dupligan, Tanudan, Kalinga remains not passable.

Alternate route: Cudal-Pangol-Gombuwoy Road

Mountain Province

Mountain Province-Ilocos Sur via Tue Road

The Mountain Province-Ilocos Sur via Tue Road at Balaoa, Tadian remains not passable.

Alternate route: Mountain Province-Ilocos Sur Road via Kayan Road
