SLU Expands Healthcare Programs with New Physical Therapy Degree

Saint Louis University (SLU) in Baguio City has announced that it will offer a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy (BS PT) program beginning Academic Year 2027–2028, expanding its existing health sciences degree offerings.

The new program will be offered under the university’s School of Nursing, Allied Health, and Biological Sciences (SONAHBS). According to the university’s announcement, graduating senior high school students are invited to apply and become part of the program’s inaugural batch.

A New Addition to SLU’s Health Sciences Programs

The introduction of BS Physical Therapy adds another undergraduate degree option for students interested in pursuing careers in healthcare, particularly in rehabilitation and physical function.

Physical therapy is a healthcare profession focused on helping individuals improve or restore movement, manage physical limitations, and maintain functional independence. Physical therapists work with patients experiencing injuries, disabilities, movement disorders, and other conditions affecting physical mobility.

With the addition of BS Physical Therapy, SONAHBS will offer the following undergraduate programs:

  • BS Medical Laboratory Science
  • BS Pharmacy
  • BS Radiologic Technology
  • BS Medical Biology
  • BS Physical Therapy

SLU noted that SONAHBS has established a tradition of academic excellence, with several of its programs recognized among the country’s top-performing programs based on Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) licensure examination results.

College Entrance Examination Registration Now Open

Alongside the announcement of the new degree program, SLU confirmed that registration for the Saint Louis University College Entrance Examination (SLU-CEE) for Academic Year 2027–2028 is now open.

Graduating Grade 12 students interested in applying to the university, including those considering the new BS Physical Therapy program, may begin the application process through the university’s official online admissions portal.
