By Free Cancer Screening at Benguet General Hospital on October 22
Benguet General Hospital (BeGH), in partnership with the Department of Health (DOH), will hold a Mass Cancer Screening on Thursday, October 22, 2026, as part of an initiative promoting early cancer detection and preventive healthcare.
The activity will provide screening services for breast, cervical, and prostate cancer, with specific age groups and schedules assigned to each examination.
Participants can register onsite on the day of the activity.
Available Cancer Screening Services
Breast Cancer Screening
Women aged 30 to 69 years old may undergo a breast examination.
- Screening: Breast Examination
- Eligible participants: Women aged 30–69
- Location: OB-OPD, Benguet General Hospital
- Time: 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM
Cervical Cancer Screening
Cervical cancer screening will be offered through Pap smears and Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid (VIA).
According to the hospital’s screening advisory, the following age groups are eligible:
- Pap smear: Women aged 30–65 years old
- VIA: Women aged 20–29 years old
- Location: OB-OPD, Benguet General Hospital
- Time: 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM
The hospital has advised that screening services will be available while supplies last.
Prostate Cancer Screening
Men aged 60 years old and above may undergo a Digital Rectal Examination (DRE), which allows healthcare professionals to check the prostate for abnormalities.

- Time: 8:00 AM to 12:00 noon
