Latest Baguio and Cordillera Road Advisory for October 3
Four roadlines in Baguio City and Benguet remain not passable as of the morning of October 3, 2026, according to the latest road and travel advisory from DPWH-Cordillera. Meanwhile, all national roads and bridges in Abra, Apayao, Ifugao, Kalinga, and Mountain Province are reported passable.
The Department of Public Works and Highways-Cordillera Administrative Region (DPWH-CAR) said the advisory was based on reports gathered from 6:03 AM to 7:05 AM.
Kennon Road also remains open, but only to light vehicles with a maximum load limit of 5 tons.
All National Roads Passable in Five Provinces
DPWH-CAR reported that all national roads and bridges are passable in:
- Abra
- Apayao
- Ifugao
- Kalinga
- Mountain Province
Motorists are still advised to exercise caution, particularly in areas previously affected by landslides, rockfalls, and other road hazards.
Kennon Road Open to Light Vehicles Only
Kennon Road remains passable to light vehicles only, with a maximum load limit of 5 tons.
Several restrictions remain along the route.
At Sitio Camp 2, Barangay Twin Peaks, Tuba, Benguet, the Acrow Bridge remains not passable. Motorists are being directed through a detour road, which is one-lane passable.
The Rockshed Approach at Camp 6 is also one-lane passable.
Another section at Camp 6, Tuba is one-lane passable due to falling rocks.
Motorists using Kennon Road are advised to slow down and follow instructions from traffic and road personnel along affected sections.
Four Roadlines Remain Not Passable
Baguio City
Two roadlines remain not passable due to sinking sections:
- PMA Road
- PMA Cut-Off Road No. 3
DPWH-CAR said the affected sections remain under continuous monitoring.
Benguet
Benguet-Nueva Vizcaya Road
The Benguet-Nueva Vizcaya Road at Barangay Beckel, La Trinidad remains not passable due to a road cut.
Alternate routes are:
- Marlboro-Beckel Road
- Labey-Lacamen Road
Baguio-Itogon Road
The Baguio-Itogon Road at Sitio Goldfield, Barangay Poblacion, Itogon remains not passable due to a landslide.
Alternate route: Ucab-Midas Road
Clearing and Restoration Operations Continue
DPWH-CAR said road-clearing teams and heavy equipment remain deployed in affected areas to remove soil, rocks, debris, and other obstructions and restore safe road access.
Motorists and those who need to be on the road are advised to exercise extra caution, follow traffic advisories and instructions from personnel on site, slow down when approaching affected sections, and avoid unnecessary travel through hazardous areas.
