It is moving westward at 15 km/h, with maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h near its center, gusts reaching 55 km/h, and a central pressure of 998 hPa.
Track and Intensity Outlook
Tropical Depression Gener is expected to emerge over the West Philippine Sea today and is forecast to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) tonight or early tomorrow, 18 September. Once outside PAR, it will continue on its westward path before shifting to a west-northwest direction by Thursday, 19 September. While intensification is limited, Gener could upgrade to a tropical storm by tomorrow morning.

Residents in parts of Luzon are under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 1, with strong winds extending up to 200 km from Gener’s center. The affected provinces include:
