PH FDA warns against buying and using Kirkland Signature Vit C 1000mg Tablets

The Philippine Food and Drug Administration recently released a public health warning against buying and using Kirkland Signature Vitamin C 1000mg tablet.

The reason for this warning by the Philippine FDA is that the said product has not gone through the proper registration process with the FDA and there is no recognized or proper authorization in the form of a Certificate of Product registration.

The absence of the proper certificate of product registration means that the Food and Drug Administration in the Philippines cannot guarantee the quality and safety of the said product.

The Food and Drug Administration act of 2009 or Republic Act No. 9711 states that the manufacture, importation, sale, offering for sale, transfer, distribution, exportation, promotion, advertising, or sponsorship of health products without the proper authorization from the FDA is PROHIBITED.

The FDA further warns business establishments and entities not to distribute the said product until it has complied with the required authorization. Regulatory actions and sanctions will be pursued by the FDA to anyone who violates said warning.
