[UPDATED] Medical Clearance No Longer Required when Entering Baguio City, Effective Feb. 16



[UPDATED] Medical Certificate Again Required | Mayor Recalls Initial Amendments to EO 21, s. 2021

From La Trinidad-Itogon-Sablan-Tuba and Tublay (LISTT) and planning to enter Baguio City? Well, here is an update you should not miss.

The Announcements from La Trinidad and PIO Benguet

Earlier today (Monday), February 15, 2021, the Mayor’s Office of La Trinidad and the Public Information Office of the Province of Benguet, through separate Facebook posts, announced that Medical Clearance will no longer be required when entering the City of Baguio, effective February 16, 2021 until further notice.

According to the Mayor’s Office of La Trinidad, at 2:00 PM today, they were informed by the City Mayor’s Office with regards to the update. Below are the announcements as made public by the municipality’s Mayor’s Office and the province’s Public Information Office.

The Announcement from PIO Baguio

Furthermore, the Executive Order 21, Series of 2021, “an order setting amended entry protocols for travelers coming to the City of Baguio under restricted status during community quarantine”, has been issued by Mayor Benjamin Magalong today, February 15, 2021, updating entry protocols to the city.
  • LISTT Residents are exempted from requirements such as registration to the HDF and medical certificate/clearance (See EO 21, Series of 2021, Section 3)
  • Health workers coming to the city for work purposes, or those who cross city borders on a daily/weekly work-to-home and vice-versa basis will no longer be required to submit negative antigen or RT-PCR test results (See EO 21, Series of 2021, Section 4)
  • Cargo and logistic services for essential and non-essential goods and utilities for water, electricity, IT, telecommunications, fuel products and waste management shall be afforded unhampered passage (See EO 21, Series of 2021, Section 5)
  • Government agencies and those providing emergency services shall be afforded unhampered passage (See EO 21, Series of 2021, Section 6)
