UPDATE June 24, 2026 10:52 PM:

Due to a reported COVID-19 case, the Mayor had previously placed Purok 2, 4 and 5 of Barangay Loakan-Liwanag on lockdown. This is to facilitate contact tracing and disinfection of the said area.

Yesterday, the contact tracing team has conducted a re-assessment of the said areas. Based on the results of the geospatial analysis on the extent of within Barangay Loakan-Liwanag, it was recommended that there is no further need to place the said areas on lockdown.

This is why effective yesterday, the Mayor has ordered the lifting of the lockdown for Purok 2, 4, and 5 of Barangay Loakan-Liwanag.

The public is again reminded to strictly observe and abide by the MGCQ rules and regulations of the City.
