Inday Slightly Intensifies; More Northern Luzon Areas Placed Under Signal No. 1
Super Typhoon Inday slightly intensified while moving west northwestward over the Philippine Sea east of Northern Luzon, PAGASA said late Wednesday morning, July 8, 2026. Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 is now raised over several areas in Northern Luzon, including parts of the Cordillera Administrative Region.
Super Typhoon Inday, internationally known as Bavi, slightly intensified as it continued moving over the Philippine Sea east of Northern Luzon, according to PAGASA’s Tropical Cyclone Bulletin No. 3 issued at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 8, 2026.
PAGASA said Inday is expected to remain a super typhoon until Thursday, July 9, before weakening into a typhoon by Thursday evening.
Although Inday is forecast to remain over the Philippine Sea, its wide circulation and the enhanced Southwest Monsoon may still bring strong winds, rain, and rough seas to several parts of the country.
