Family Month Celebration in Baguio City

With the theme, “Tungo sa Maginhawa, Matatag at Panatag na Pamilyang Pilipino,” the city of Baguio celebrates Family Month with several activities this September.

Family Month 2019 Calendar of Activities

September 6 – Best Child Development Center Food Garden

On September 6, there will be a launching for the best child development center food garden. Under this, children, at their young age, will be taught about planting and providing proper care for school-based and home gardens.

September 20 – Family Zumba

On September 20, families are invited to join the Family Zumba to be held at the City Hall grounds.

September 27 – Mass Wedding

Also, as part of the month-long celebration, a mass wedding is will be held at the President Fidel V. Ramos (PFVR) gymnasium on September 27, 2019.

And as of now, the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) head Betty Fangasan said that CSWDO is accepting applications from qualified couples until September 13. While on September 18, a marriage enrichment counseling will also be conducted by the same office for the mass wedding applicants at the Senior Citizen function hall.

Requirements:

• pre-marriage counseling certificate issued by the Health Services Office (HSO)
• baptismal/birth certificate of applicants
• Certificate of No Marriage (CENOMAR) issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)
• tree-planting certificate issued by the City Environment and Parks Management Office (CEPMO)
• valid IDs
• proof of residency
• Parents’ consent for applicants aged 18-21

NOTE:
If wedding applicants have been living together for five (5) years and would like be join the mass wedding, they need to provide an affidavit of cohabitation.

September 28 – Family Clean-up Day

In coordination with barangay officials and the community, a Family Clean-up Day will be held together with socio-civic groups on September 28, 2019.
