Surge? Baguio City records 85 new cases Monday

The public information office of the city of Baguio reported yesterday that there are 85 new COVID-19 cases in the city. This is the first time this year that the number of cases has reached above 80. The breakdown of the cases is as follows. Forty-two (42) of the new cases were detected as a result of contact tracing, eight (8) were discovered through expanded testing, thirty-two (32) were symptomatic and four (4) were tagged as “others”. A fatality and thirteen (13) recoveries were recorded also Monday, January 25, 2021. The fatality is a 71-year-old male and was DOA (dead-on-arrival) at the BGHMC.
