Super Typhoon Pepito Makes Second Landfall in Aurora, Now Crossing Quirino Province





Super Typhoon Pepito continues its destructive path after making a second landfall in Dipaculao, Aurora at 3:20 PM today. The storm is now over Quirino Province, bringing life-threatening winds and heavy rainfall across Luzon.

  • Intensity: Maximum sustained winds of 185 km/h, gustiness of up to 305 km/h, and central pressure of 935 hPa
  • Movement: Northwestward at 25 km/h

Track and Intensity Outlook

  • Pepito will continue traversing the upland regions of the Sierra Madre, Caraballo, and Cordillera Central before exiting Luzon landmass tonight or early tomorrow morning. It is expected to weaken further while moving west northwestward over the West Philippine Sea.
