Session Road Lanes Temporary Closed on Sunday

Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong has issued Executive Order No. 169, series of 2020, authorizing the temporary closure of both lanes of Session Road on Sunday, November 15, 2020, from 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM.

Under the executive order, it was mentioned that Baguio City and the Mindanao Development Authority came into an agreement in August 2020 to open trade lines for agri-product suppliers, beginning with the MindaFruit Festival held last September 1, 2020.

And, in keeping with this partnership, Minda Tienda will be held on November 14-15, 2020 in areas in and around the central business district.

In the executive issued by Mayor Magalong, it was stated that the temporary closure of both lanes of Session Road will be a welcome respite for the city’s constituents as this can serve as an area where they can purchase seasonal fruits while at the same time enjoying the services and products of the city’s local businesses and merchants.

Furthermore, a post-assessment of this temporary closure will serve as a preliminary study for a possible regular Sunday pedestrianization along Session Road.

Under EO No. 169, s. of 2020, Mayor Magalong has ordered the following:

Both lanes of Session Road from the rotunda in front of the Baguio Post Office down to the junction of Magsaysay Avenue, Jose Abad Santos Drive at Burnham park shall be closed to vehicular traffic on November 15, 2020, from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
