PRRD: Face Shields No Longer Required in Open Areas

President Rodrigo Duterte has announced that the use of face shields on top of face masks in public is no longer mandatory when in open areas. This is according to the president’s Talk to the People on Wednesday evening.

PRRD has accepted the recommendation of the Technical Advisory Group (TAG) and medical experts to use face shields only in areas that fall under 3C’s- crowded, closed, and close-contact. Some establishments falling in this area include hospitals, buildings, and public transportation vehicles.

President Duterte has ordered the issuance of implementing guidelines regarding this approved recommendation.
