UPDATE June 3, 2026 11:20 AM:
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has issued a weather advisory at 11:00 AM today (Thursday), January 21, 2021; informing the public that the Tail-End of a Frontal System is affecting the eastern sections of Northern and Central Luzon.
Meanwhile, PAGASA has also given an update on the Low Pressure Area (LPA), stating that it was estimated at 190 km South Southwest of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan at 10:00 AM today. But PAGASA added that “the disturbance is less likely to develop into a tropical depression.”
The next weather advisory is to be issued by PAGASA at 11:00 AM tomorrow (Friday), January 22, 2021. This is unless an intermediate advisory is released. Below are more details on today’s weather advisory.

PAGASA also warned those who are in areas susceptible heavy rainfall that flooding may occur.
“Flooding, including flashfloods, and rain-induced landslides may occur during heavy or prolonged periods of rainfall, especially in areas identified to be highly or very highly susceptible to these hazards…” stated the administration in their advisory.
