More Areas now under Typhoon Signal No. 3, 2, and 1 Due to Ambo

Typhoon “Ambo” maintains its strength and has made a landfall over San Andres, Quezon.

As it brings destructive winds and heavy to intense rainfall over Bondoc Peninsula in Southern Quezon and Burias Island, moderate to heavy rains are expected over the following areas today:

  • Rizal
  • Metro Manila
  • Bulacan
  • Nueva Ecija
  • Nueva Viscaya
  • Quirino


Movement and Location of “Ambo”

Typhoon Ambo is moving Northwest at 15 km/h with maximum sustained winds of 125 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 165 km/h.

As of 7:00 AM today, the eye of the typhoon was located based on all available data over the coastal waters of San Andres, Quezon.

Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal Raised in Some Areas

Based on the latest Tropical Cyclone warning issued by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) at 8:00 AM today, May 15, 2020, TWCS Nos. 3, 2, and 1 are still up in some areas in the country due to Typhoon Ambo.
