Eduard Folayang Reclaims ONE Lightweight World Title

Last night, November 23, 2018 at the One Championship Conquest of Champions at the Mall of Asia Arena, team Lakay’s Eduard “The Landslide” Folayang gets his throne back as he clinches the ONE Lightweight World Title.

After losing the title to Martin Nguyen last November, Folayang got redemption and clinched a win in a unanimous decision against Singaporean Amir Khan a year later on the very same venue.

In an interview by ONE Championship just after being announced as the title holder, Folayang says he feels blessed to join his three other teammates from Baguio’s Team Lakay Kevin Belingon, Joshua Pacio, Geje Eustaquio who have also won their respective belts this year. “I inspire them, they inspire me.”  he said.

Folayang is the first two-time champion in any division of the ONE Championship.
