‘Carrot Man’ Jeyrick Sigmaton Hailed Best Actor at International Film Festival Manhattan

Jeyrick Sigmaton, more popularly known as Carrot Man, was hailed best actor in the recently held International Film Festival Manhattan (IFFM) Autumn 2021 in New York, USA.

Sigmaton bagged the “Best Actor for Short Film” award after starring in “Dayas,” a film exploring the lives of small-scale gold miners in Itogon, Benguet. The short film written and directed by Jianlin Floresca under Sine Cordillera and Be Unrivaled Productions brings Cordilleran narratives and creative talents to the global stage.

“We’re very thankful to have the Best Actor award for Jeyrick Sigmaton. So on behalf of my actor and the entire cast of Sine Cordillera’s ‘Dayas,’ and also on behalf of all Igorots all over the world, bagi tayo daytoy[this is for all of us]” Director Floresca said in a YouTube video.
