Ambo Weakens into a Severe Tropical Storm

Typhoon Ambo weakens into a Severe Tropical Storm as it continues to move towards the Northern Quezon – Laguna Area.

Movement and Location of “Ambo”

Ambo is moving Northwest at 20 km/h with maximum sustained winds of 110 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 150 km/h. 

As of 1:00 PM today, May 15, 2020,  the center of the Severe Tropical Storm was estimated based on all available data in the vicinity of Kinagunan Ilaya, Quezon.

Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal Remains in Some Areas

Based on the latest Tropical Cyclone warning issued by PAGASA at 2:00 PM, today, some areas within the country remain to be under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 1 and 2.
