The aim of the project is to give small market vendors and tricycle drivers an opportunity to have a source of income amidst the impact of Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ).

“Sa pagtutulungan ng ating Tanggapan at ng Quezon City Government, ang proyektong ito ay nagbibigay ng pagkakataon sa small market vendors at tricycle drivers na magkaroon ng mas maayos na kita, sa gitna ng epekto ng Enhanced Community Quarantine sa kanilang kabuhayan.”

The Community Mart app is available for Android and iOS devices and can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store and App Store. Note, however, that as of the moment, the service only accepts Cash on Delivery as they are still working on other possible modes of payment.

According to the post published on the official VP Leni Robredo Facebook page, starting today, May 12, 2020, the app users can already shop for vegetables, fruits, meat, and other products from Kamuning Market.

Pilot run of Community Mart

The pilot run of the app covers the following barangays: Kamuning, Mariana, Obrero, Sacred Heart, Laging Handa, Pinagkaisahan, South Triangle, Paligsahan, and Roxas District.

Currently, the service is only available to limited areas, but according to the vice president, they strive to extend the project in the following days.
