The typhoon “Ambo” further intensifies as it approaches the Northern Samar area or the northern portion of Eastern Samar.
Ambo is moving West at the speed of 15 kilometers per hour with sustained winds of 155 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 190 kilometers per hour.
As of 7:00 AM today, the center of the typhoon was estimated based on all available data at 185 km East Southeast of Catarman, Northern Samar or 110 km East Northeast of Borongan City, Eastern.
TWCS Nos. 3, 2, and 1 have also been raised in some areas in the country due to the typhoon based on the latest Tropical Cyclone warning issued by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) at 8:00 AM today, May 14, 2020.
