The Department of Public Works and Highways-Cordillera Administrative Region (DPWH-CAR) released its latest road and travel advisory covering routes leading to Baguio City and affected national roads and bridges across the region.
Those who need to be on the road are advised to take note of restrictions and continue monitoring official advisories as road conditions may change.
The following major routes are currently passable:
A section of the Baguio-Bontoc Road at Caliking, Atok, Benguet remains one-lane passable due to a road slip.
Motorists passing through the affected section are advised to exercise caution and follow instructions from traffic personnel.
Kennon Road remains temporarily closed to non-residents until further notice due to continuous heavy rainfall affecting the area.
According to DPWH-CAR, persistent rainy weather may result in slope failures, rockfalls, and landslides, making travel along Kennon Road hazardous.
Non-resident motorists are advised to use alternative routes such as:
Use of alternative routes remains subject to prevailing road conditions.
A section at Camp 6, Tuba, Benguet is also one-lane passable.
Motorists are advised to follow instructions from traffic enforcers and emergency personnel and monitor official advisories for updates on road conditions and the reopening of Kennon Road.
The Benguet-Nueva Vizcaya Road at Beckel, La Trinidad, Benguet remains not passable due to a road slip.
Alternate routes are:
Several roads and bridges remain passable but with restrictions.
Bunot Bridge 2, Barangay Tanglagan, Calanasan is limited to light vehicles due to a damaged abutment slope.
Along the Claveria-Calanasan Road, Sugoc Bridge at Barangay Ninoy, Calanasan is limited to light vehicles due to a scoured approach slab.
Limited access for light vehicles is also in effect along the Kabugao-Pudtol-Luna-Cagayan Boundary Road at:
Intermittent one-lane sections are reported in:
Two sections of PMA Road at PMA Cut-Off, Barangay Fort Del Pilar are listed as not passable due to sinking portions.
The Baguio-Itogon Road remains not passable at Sitio Goldfield, Barangay Poblacion, Itogon.
Alternate route: Ucab-Midas Road
A separate section at Barangay Ucab, Itogon is one-lane passable due to a sinking road section.

The section at Bangho, Daclan, Benguet remains one-lane passable under an open-close traffic scheme.
Vehicles are allowed through the affected portion one at a time.
The temporary passage schedule is from 5:00 AM to 8:00 PM only, except during emergency cases.
The affected road will automatically be closed during continuous heavy rainfall or whenever conditions become unsafe for passage.
For light vehicles, the alternate route is:
Pico Bridge #2 remains one-lane passable due to cracks on the girders.
Makilo Bailey Bridge in Bugnay, Tinglayan has limited access for light vehicles.
The bridge has a 5-ton load limit, and long-bodied vehicles are not allowed.
Aliog Bridge in Nambaran, Tabuk City is limited to vehicles weighing 5 tons or less and has a vertical clearance of 3 meters.
Heavy vehicles may use:
A section at Colong, Lower Uma, Lubuagan is one-lane passable due to soil collapse.
A section at Sitio Pingew, Barangay Talubin, Bontoc is one-lane passable due to slope collapse.
A section at Sitio Dawdawan, Barangay Tambingan, Sabangan is also one-lane passable due to slope collapse.
DPWH-CAR reminded motorists that hazards may remain even along roads that are open to traffic.
Those who need to travel are advised to slow down, obey signs and instructions from authorities, and remain alert when approaching affected road sections.
