NCR Under Alert Level 3 From January 3-15, 2022; Here are the Guidelines

The National Capital Region (NCR) will be placed under Alert Level 3 from Monday, January 3 to Saturday, January 15, 2022. According to Acting Spokesperson and Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles, the decision was made due to the increase in COVID-19 cases recently. Nograles added that among the three cases of local transmission of the Omicron variant, one was detected in Metro Manila, amplifying the government’s decision to bring back restrictions.

Alert Level 3 Guidelines

Below are the guidelines to be followed for areas under Alert Level 3.

Travel and Movement

Intrazonal and interzonal movement is allowed, subject to the reasonable regulations of the LGUs which should not be stricter than those prescribed under high alert levels.

Government Agencies

Government agencies and instrumentalities of government are allowed 60% on-site with work-from-home and other flexible work arrangements.

Dine-in Services

• 30% indoor venue capacity for fully vaccinated people
• 50% outdoor venue capacity

In-person religious gathering

• 30% indoor venue capacity for fully vaccinated people
• 50% outdoor venue capacity

Necrological services, wakes, inurnment, funerals

• 30% indoor venue capacity for fully vaccinated people
• 50% outdoor venue capacity

Recreational venues

• 30% indoor venue capacity for fully vaccinated people
• 50% outdoor venue capacity

Cinema and Movie Houses

• 30% indoor venue capacity for fully vaccinated people
• 50% outdoor venue capacity

Licensure or Entrance Examinations

• 30% indoor venue capacity for fully vaccinated people
• 50% outdoor venue capacity

Face-to-Face classes

Face-to-face classes for Basic Education suspended starting January 3, 2022.

Venues for meetings, incentives, conference exhibitions (MICE)

• 30% indoor venue capacity for fully vaccinated people
• 50% outdoor venue capacity

Social Events

• 30% indoor venue capacity for fully vaccinated people
• 50% outdoor venue capacity

Visitors and Tourist Attractions

• 30% indoor venue capacity for fully vaccinated people
• 50% outdoor venue capacity

Activities Not Allowed under Alert Level 3

• Contact Sports EXCEPT under bubble-type setup
• Kid amusement industries
• Karaoke
• Bars
• Clubs
• Concert halls
• Live voice performance venues
• Gathering in residences with individuals not belonging to the same household
• Gambling establishments
