Mountain Province Reports its First COVID-19 Case
Mountain Province has recorded its first COVID-19 case today, June 16, 2020.

An official statement from the provincial governor regarding this COVID-19 case was published on the Mountain Province Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Office Facebook Page.
According to Provincial Governor Bonifacio Lacwasan Jr., the COVID-19 case is a male from Suquib, Besao. He is a close contact of PCapt. Dulag of the Special Action Force (SAF), a COVID-19 patient who visited Besao on June 6, 2020.
Furthermore, it was revealed that the first case recorded in the province is a result of a contact tracing done as per the report by the Besao COVID-19 Task Force.
“All close contacts are currently isolated and they (22 close contacts) have been swabbed; thus, this result.”
“So as not to create panic among our people, ensuing statements as regards COVID-19 cases will be published thru the Provincial Government and PDRRMO Official FB page,” he added.
