Mayor Magalong: “Business as usual” tomorrow as work and classes resume





Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong has announced the resumption of work and classes tomorrow, July 28, 2022.

Earlier today, Mayor Magalong has suspended all work in public and private establishments and classes in all levels to conduct inspection and assessment of the different structures after the city was rocked by an Intensity 6 earthquake.




As per the advisory made through the Public Information Office of the city, the public is advised to report any unchecked structural damage and risks to the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) through the following numbers:

In the same advisory, Mayor Magalong also advised tourists and travelers to use Marcos Highway as several roads are still under inspection and clearing operations. Parks and other public tourist spots will be reopened after the areas have been assessed and deemed safe by experts.
