LPA develops into Tropical Depression #EsterPH

The Low-Pressure Area located east of Extreme Northern Luzon has intensified into a tropical depression, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has announced on Friday, July 29, 2022 in its 2:00 PM bulletin.

In the 11 AM weather advisory, PAGASA stated that the combined effects of LPA and the Southwest Monsoon will bring scattered light to moderate with at times heavy rainshowers and thunderstorms over CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Metro Manila, Bicol Region, Samar Provinces, Zambales, Bataan, and Antique in the next 24 hours.

Tropical Depression “Ester” is the first typhoon to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility for July and the fifth this year. Tropical Cyclone Bulletins will be issued by the weather bureau starting 5:00 PM today.
