Kennon Road closed to traffic due to TD Obet

The Cordillera Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CRDRRMC) and the Office of the Civil Defense Cordillera Administrative Region (OCD-CAR) has released a public advisory regarding the closure of Kennon Road.

Effective 12:00 midnight of Friday, October 21, 2022, Kennon Road will be temporarily closed to traffic until further notice, except for Kennon Road and Camp 7 residents.

The decision was made by the Joint Inter-Agency Task Force (JIATF) Kennon due to the looming risks that may be brought about by Tropical Depression Obet, the shear line, and the onset of Amihan season that is currently affecting Northern Luzon.

Residents are also advised to avoid non-essential travels during the closure periods. With this advisory, motorists are advised to pass through alternate roads such as Marcos Highway, Baguio-Bauang Road (Naguilian Road), and Asin-Nangalisan-San Pascual Road.
