Several national roads and bridges across the Cordillera remain affected by road slips, soil and slope collapses, damaged bridge approaches, and unstable road sections as of 8:30 AM on August 20, 2026. Some roads are not passable, while others are limited to one-lane traffic or light vehicles only.
The Department of Public Works and Highways-Cordillera Administrative Region (DPWH-CAR) has released an updated road and travel advisory covering affected national roads and bridges in Apayao, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga, and Mountain Province.
Motorists who need to travel are advised to take note of restrictions, use available alternate routes, and exercise caution as hazards may remain.
Several roads and bridges in Apayao remain passable but with limitations.

The Baguio-Itogon Road remains not passable at Sitio Goldfield, Barangay Poblacion, Itogon.
Alternate route: Ucab-Midas Road
The Gov. Bado Dangwa National Road at Bangho, Daclan, Benguet is now one-lane passable as of 10:00 AM on August 20, 2026.
Motorists passing through the affected section are advised to exercise caution and follow instructions from authorities.
The Itogon-Dalupirip Road remains not passable at Barangay Tinongdan, Itogon.
No alternate route was indicated in the advisory.
Pico-Lamtang Road is one lane passable at Pico Bridge #2 due to cracks on the girders.
The road is one lane passable at Tabio, Mankayan due to soil collapse.

A section at Hapao, Poblacion, Hungduan is one lane passable due to a road slip.
Alternate route: Kiangan-Tinoc-Buguias Road
A section at Tukucan, Tinoc is also one lane passable due to soil collapse.
Sections at Binablayan, Ap-apid, Impogong, and Eheb in Tinoc are one lane passable due to road slips.
Another section at Impugong, Tinoc is one lane passable due to soil collapse.
The road is not passable at Dupligan, Tanudan due to a sunken road section.
Alternate route: Cudal-Pangol-Gombuwoy Road
Access at the Makilo Bailey Bridge in Bugnay, Tinglayan is limited to light vehicles only.
The bridge has a 5-ton load limit, and long-bodied vehicles are not allowed.
Aliog Bridge in Nambaran, Tabuk City is limited to vehicles weighing 5 tons or less and has a vertical clearance of 3 meters.
Alternate route for heavy vehicles: Bulo National Road via Callagdao-Bulo-Agbannawag
The road is one lane passable at Balaoa, Tadian due to soil collapse.
Alternate route: Mountain Province-Ilocos Sur Road via Kayan Road
A section at Sitio Agadchang, Betwagan, Sadanga is one lane passable due to slope collapse.
The following sections are one lane passable due to slope collapse:
An open/close traffic situation is being implemented at Sitio Pingew, Barangay Talubin, Bontoc due to an unstable slope and road cut.
DPWH-CAR advised motorists that hazards may remain even on roads that are passable.
Those who need to travel should slow down, obey road signs and instructions from authorities, and remain alert when approaching affected sections. Road conditions may change as monitoring, clearing, and repair operations continue.
