Filipinos Spend Most Time Online, Almost 11 Hours Daily
In the Digital 2021: Global Overview Report, latest digital insights, and social media stats, of We Are Social and Hootsuite, the Philippines lead the world in daily time spent using social media and the internet. The report was published last January 27, 2021.

When it comes to social media, the average amount of time Filipinos spend using social media per day is 4 hours and 15 minutes. This makes Filipinos still the world’s biggest consumers of social media according to the Digital 2021: Global Overview Report.
Top 10
Here are the Top 10 world’s biggest consumers of social media:
- Philippines
- Colombia
- Brazil
- Kenya
- Nigeria
- South Africa
- Mexico
- Argentina
- Indonesia
- Ghana
Furthermore, based on the report, Japan spends less than an hour which is 51 minutes a day on social media.

Internet
According to the report, the average amount of time that Filipinos spend using the internet per day is 10 hours and 56 minutes. And, Japan spends the least amount of time online with 4 hours and 25 minutes.
