Employees in Baguio City Mandated to Wear Face Shield While on Duty




Baguio Mayor Benjamin Magalong has signed Executive Order No. 118, series of 2020, which was issued yesterday, August 5, 2020, mandating employees in the City of Baguio to wear face shields while on duty.

Mandatory Use of Face Shield Order

Here are the following orders of Mayor Magalong stated under EO No. 118, S. of 2020:

  • All workers, employees, and receiving personnel in business establishments, banks, and government offices within the city of Baguio are mandated to use face shields while on duty.
  • Employees are strongly encouraged to install transparent physical barriers in their work stations to prevent possible aerosolized transmission of COVID-19 particles.

Furthermore, EO No. 118, S. of 2020 is effective until such time that COVID-19 pandemic is eradicated in the Philippines, or upon recommendation of the local COVID-19 Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF).
