Buguias Mayor Tests Positive For the Virus

Buguias Municipal Mayor Ruben Tinda-an has announced on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 that he has contracted the virus.
“It is with heavy heart also to inform you that I have tested positive with COVID-19 based on my swab yesterday which result came out today. Rest assured that I am in good physical condition and has no severe symptoms. I will be undergoing quarantine to ensure that I do not transmit the virus and avoid putting anyone at risk.” Mayor Tinda-an said in his statement.

The local chief executive of Buguias, Benguet also reminded the public to take the threat of the virus seriously since the COVID-19 cases are on the rise. Tinda-an stated that among the Benguet municipalities, Buguias has the lowest recovery rate. “Please be safe, try to stay home, and always observe health standards and proper protocol[s],” he added.
Earlier today, an Executive Order was released ordering the temporary closure of all LGU offices within the Municipal Building of Buguias from April 6, 2021 to April 8, 2021.
