Bontoc Releases Travel Advisory for Travelers from NCR Plus, Baguio City, Nueva Vizcaya, and Cagayan

The Municipality of Bontoc has released a travel advisory on Friday, March 26, 2021, ordering the temporary travel ban for individuals coming from the NCR Plus bubble (NCR, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Bulacan).

Municipal Vice Mayor and Acting Mayor Eusebio S. Kabluyen issued the advisory in compliance with IATF Resolution No. 104, wherein only essential travels in and out of the NCR Plus bubble will be allowed from March 22, 2021 to April 4, 2021 as a response to the continuous rise of the coronavirus cases in the country.

With this, the travel advisory states that from Sunday, March 28, 2021 to April 4, 2021, individuals coming from Laguna, Cavite, Bulacan, Rizal, and the National Capital Region (NCR) with Bontoc as the ultimate destination, shall NOT BE ALLOWED ENTRY in the municipality.

For Outgoing Bontoc Residents

Bontoc residents who are planning to travel to the NCR Plus areas are also advised to reschedule their travel dates after April 4, 2021. Public Utility Vans (PUVs) with routes to these areas are therefore mandated by the municipality to suspend their travels for the duration of the dates mentioned.

For Travelers Coming to Bontoc

All individuals coming to Bontoc are encouraged to register their intended travel plans at the S-PASS online application.

For Travelers coming from Baguio City, Nueva Vizcaya, and Cagayan

Aside from the registration at the S-PASS portal, travelers from the City of Baguio, Nueva Vizcaya, and Cagayan who are planning to visit Bontoc shall secure a negative Antigen test or RT-PCR results 72 hours prior to their intended travel.  Travelers will then undergo triage at the basement of the Municipal Capitol Building.
