How to Avail DSWD Educational Assistance (UPDATED)




Below is a guide on how to avail DSWD educational assistance. As face-to-face classes are set to begin on Monday, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) will be giving financial educational assistance to qualified students.  This is according to an announcement by Secretary Erwin Tulfo during a press briefing at Malacañang on Thursday.

DSWD Educational Assistance

The program, which is under the Assistance for Individual in Crisis Situation (AICS), is aimed to help indigent students in the country purchase school supplies, uniforms, shoes, and other school-related expenses. Five hundred million pesos (PHP500M) have been earmarked for this program.

According to Tulfo, the DSWD cash assistance will be available in DSWD central, regional, provincial, and other local offices starting on Saturday, August 20 and every Saturday until September 24.




DSWD Educational Assistance Payout

Claimants who will be qualified for the DSWD Educational cash assistance shall receive the following in cash:

Senior High SchoolPHP 3,000.00
Vocational/CollegePHP 4,000.00




DSWD Cash Assistance Eligibility

The following are eligible to avail of the DSWD Educational cash assistance:

  • Students from poor family
  • Working student
  • Breadwinner of the family
  • Orphan/Abandoned children
  • Persons with disability
  • Victims of calamity
  • Child of solo parent/OFW/HIV patient

Note: Up to three (3) students per indigent family are eligible for financial assistance.




DSWD Student Cash Assistance Requirements

Parents or students shall submit the following:

  • School Registration Form or Certificate of Enrolment
  • Valid ID of claimant: School ID or any government-issued ID (authorized representative)
  • Authorization letter (for claimants who are not able to apply personally)

How to Avail DSWD Educational Assistance

UPDATE AS OF AUGUST 26, 2022:

To avoid the influx of beneficiaries in payout centers, DSWD has decided to implement a NO WALK-IN POLICY for the remaining Saturdays of the program. Beneficiaries of the DSWD Educational Assistance must follow the instructions according to the region you are located in by checking below:

To avoid the influx of applicants and to maintain the observance of physical distancing, DSWD-CAR is implementing limited physical contact with clients by the use of registration through Google form (tinyurl.com/AICS-DSWD).   • NOTE: Those who had their names listed last August 19-20 shall receive more details about the payout via text on August 27, 2022.
