Benguet at Moderate-Risk Epidemic Level; 4 Municipalities at High-Risk Level




The Provincial Government of Benguet has released the epidemic risk levels of the thirteen (13) municipalities in the province.




The classification was based on the report submitted by the Benguet Provincial Health Office (PHO) on Sunday, April 25, 2021. As a whole, the province of Benguet is under a moderate epidemic risk level, with a noted decrease in the number of new COVID-19 cases in the past two weeks.

Bokod, Buguias, Kibungan, and Tuba were identified to be of high epidemic risk level. Seven municipalities- Atok, Bakun, Itogon, Kapangan, La Trinidad, Mankayan, and Tublay- are under moderate epidemic risk level. Meanwhile, Kabayan and Sablan are under a low epidemic risk level.




As of April 25, 2021, the province has a total of 7, 280 cases, with 818 active cases, 6,306 recoveries, and 156 fatalities.

According to the Department of Health – Cordillera, Benguet has a positivity rate of 9.00% and a case fatality rate of 1.85%.
