Benguet, Apayao, Cagayan, and Iloilo City Placed under MECQ until May 31, 2021

The province of Benguet, Apayao, Cagayan, and Iloilo City will be reclassified under Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) for the rest of the month. This is according to the latest resolution released by the Inter-Agency Task Force for Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) on Saturday, May 22, 2021.

As per Resolution No. 116-C series of 2021, Iloilo City shall be escalated to MECQ beginning May 23, 2021 until May 31, 2021 upon the appeal of the local government unit.

Furthermore, Benguet, Apayao, and Cagayan are also reclassified under MECQ until May 31, 2021 upon the recommendations of the Screening and Validation Committee of the task force.
