Baguio teens set out to a great escapade in the JFF2017 final race

“Experience the beauty and bask in the rich culture that our country has to offer.”

One of the many reasons that Team Malackai kept in mind when they joined the Juan For Fun backpacking challenge this year. As the sole representative of the Summer Capital of the country, they are having the time of their lives, traversing through the Philippines with a simple goal; to win and enjoy. Having been chosen to be one of the top 5 finalists for this year, it has been a struggle but as well as a challenge for the three youngsters namely; Kahel Osem of the University of the Cordilleras, John Beltran of University of Baguio and Ian Pedeglorio of Saint Louis University to make the best of this once of a lifetime experience.

Going to Their Dream Destination

These three young men have known each other from childhood and have traveled together with some of their friends in search of adventure and adrenaline. Being a part of this competition opened doors to a whole new level of escapade, going to their dream destinations and indulging in the different culture of the Philippines. Since that the group are big travellers themselves, they took the opportunity to join which was just a spur of the moment thing, they told me that they were just scrolling through Facebook when they saw the advertisement for the challenge and so they made a video and thankful that they got a positive feedback and were able to join the competition.

The One-week Race Begins!

With the contest drawing to a near and the other teams stepping up their game, Team Malackai are bringing their A-Game to the finish line. The team was also awarded the Coaches’ Choice Award for the most fun and exciting content for their Pre-Manila Challenge. With P40,000 in hand, together with their Cebu Pacific flights, Team Malackai heads off to a one-week race to visit the different places in the Philippines in their itinerary and produce video content that would let us see a glimpse of their adventure beginning with their first stop, Bohol.
To be included in the top 5 is one thing, but to actually win the grand prize of a one-year pass travel-all-you-can is another and Team Malackai are making it a mission to emerge successful in this race.
