Baguio Public Parks, Camp John Hay Attractions Temporarily Closed Due to Weather

Several outdoor destinations in Baguio City have been temporarily closed on Sunday, August 30, 2026, as authorities take precautionary measures due to the prevailing weather conditions.weather conditions.

The Baguio City Public Information Office (PIO) announced that all city parks will be temporarily closed to the public today, except for Burnham Park.

According to the advisory, the temporary closure is being implemented due to weather conditions and as a precautionary measure to ensure public safety.

Camp John Hay parks and attractions also closed

In a separate advisory, the John Hay Management Corporation (JHMC) announced the temporary closure of several outdoor areas within Camp John Hay due to the prevailing unfavorable weather conditions.

The following areas are temporarily closed on August 30:

  • Camp John Hay parks
  • Trails
  • Historical Core
  • Picnic areas
  • Mini Golf

JHMC said the temporary closure is a precautionary measure to ensure the safety and security of visitors, guests, and personnel.

The public is advised to exercise caution, remain vigilant, and prioritize safety while unfavorable weather conditions persist.

Note: Burnham Park is specifically exempted from the city government’s August 30 closure advisory. The Camp John Hay closures were announced separately by JHMC and cover the areas specified in its advisory.
