Baguio City logs new active cases and recoveries today
As the contact tracing and expanded testing efforts continue, the City Government of Baguio has logged new active cases today. This is as indicated in the monitoring report that was provided by the Public Information Office of Baguio City. According to the monitoring report, there are fifteen (15) new cases and eight (8) recoveries today, September 21, 2020. Out of the fifteen new active cases, nine (9) were close contacts of COVID-19 patients, five (5) were discovered through expanded testing and one (1) is Symptomatic.

8 . 32 years old – Female – Loakan Proper – Symptomatic
9 . 20 years old – Male – San Vicente – result of contact tracing
10. 32 years old – Male – No residence indicated – result of contact tracing
11. 6 years old – Male – no residence indicated – result of contact tracing
12 . 29 years old – Female – no residence indicated – result of expanded testing
13 . 21 years old – Male – no residence indicated – result of contact tracing
14 . 30 years old – Female – San Vicente – result of contact tracing
15. 41 years old – Male – T. Alonzo – result of expanded testing
These new active cases and recoveries brings the total cases in Baguio City to 579, the total active cases as of today is 183 and total recoveries at 384. According to Mayo Benjamin Magalong, more cases are expected in the coming days as the contact tracing and targeted testing results arrive.
