A Strong Earthquake rocked Sarangani, Davao Occidental this Afternoon

A magnitude 6.3 earthquake has hit Sarangani, Davao Occidental at 3:18 PM today (Wednesday), September 9, 2020. This has been reported by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) at 3:32 PM on the same day.

Based on the institute’s Earthquake Information Bulletin, the origin of the said earthquake is tectonic and it was located at 04.13°N, 126.70°E – 159 km S 54° E of Sarangani with the depth of focus of 073 Km.
