Typhoon Rosal has weakened from a super typhoon but continues to threaten parts of Northern Luzon, with Batanes under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 and Apayao among the areas under Signal No. 1.

Rosal Expected to Exit PAR by Friday Night or Saturday Morning

It is expected to turn north-northwestward by Friday afternoon before recurving north-northeastward by Saturday, October 24.

Under the current forecast, Rosal will exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Friday evening or early Saturday morning.

The typhoon is expected to weaken gradually within the next 24 hours.

By Saturday, Rosal may begin weakening more rapidly and could be downgraded into a severe tropical storm.
