2023 List of Tropical Cyclones in the Philippines

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has released the names for tropical cyclones which will enter or form the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) for this year.

Philippine Tropical Cyclone Names 2023

The first tropical cyclone of the year is always assigned with a name starting with the letter A. Succeeding tropical cyclones will be named following the list sequenced alphabetically as shown below:

  • Amang
  • Betty
  • Chedeng
  • Dodong
  • Egay
  • Falcon
  • Goring
  • Hanna
  • Ineng
  • Jenny
  • Kabayan
  • Liwayway
  • Marilyn
  • Nimfa
  • Onyok
  • Perla

The following names will be assigned to the tropical cyclones should the number to enter PAR during the season will exceed 25:

  • Jaime
