63rd Grammy Awards Rescheduled



The 63rd Annual GRAMMY Awards was announced to be rescheduled on March 14, 2021 (Sunday) due to coronavirus. This is according to the joint statement regarding the 2021 GRAMMYs Air Date released by GRAMMYs on January 5, 2020.

“After thoughtful conversations with health experts, our host and artists scheduled to appear, we are rescheduling the 63rd Annual GRAMMY Awards® to be broadcast Sunday, March 14, 2021.”

Also, GRAMMYs on Twitter announced the new date of the broadcast with  a caption “The 63rd #GRAMMYs have been postponed to Sunday, March 14, 2021.”

In the joint statement, it was mentioned that “The deteriorating COVID situation in Los Angeles, with hospital services being overwhelmed, ICUs having reached capacity, and new guidance from state and local governments have all led us to conclude that postponing our show was the right thing to do.”

And, GRAMMYs added in the statement that “nothing is more important than the health and safety of those in our music community and the hundreds of people who work tirelessly on producing the show.”

Furthermore, the awarding was originally scheduled to air on January 31, 2020.

Also, in GRAMMYs released a joint statement they have thanked all the talented artists, the staff, vendors, and especially this year’s nominees for their understanding, patience, and willingness to work with them as they navigate these unprecedented time.
