5.7 Magnitude Earthquake hits Northeast of Dalupiri Island Cagayan

Dalupiri Island in Cagayan was jolted by a magnitude 5.7 earthquake at 11:35:12 AM today. The epicenter was pinpointed at 19.26°N, 121.21°E, approximately 17 km north of Dalupiri Island (Calayan), Cagayan. The quake was tectonic in origin.

  • Intensity III: Licuan-Baay, ABRA; Balbalan, Lubuagan, and Pasil, KALINGA; City of Batac, Currimao, Marcos, Paoay, and Pinili, ILOCOS NORTE
  • Intensity II: Nueva Era, ILOCOS NORTE; Basco, BATANES; Angadanan, Cabagan, Maconacon, San Mariano, and San Pablo, ISABELA
  • Intensity I: Delfin Albano, ISABELA

  • 11:42 AM: Magnitude 3.0, 14 km north of Dalupiri Island (Calayan), Cagayan
  • 11:40 AM: Magnitude 2.6, 20 km northeast of Dalupiri Island (Calayan), Cagayan
