1,125,600 Vaccine Doses Deployed Nationwide

National Task Force (NTF) Against Covid-19 Chief implementer Carlito Galvez Jr. has said during the Kapihan sa Manila Bay forum on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, that all on-hand 1,125,600 doses of government vaccines have been deployed in various public and private hospitals nationwide.

“Umabot na ng 100 percent or nasa 1,125,600 vaccine doses na po ang nasa inventory natin ang na deploy nationwide.”

Secretary Galvez added that the vaccination of 1.7 Million medical frontliners and health workers will be completed by mid-April. Furthermore, Galvez added that 2.3 Million vaccines will arrive this March and early week of April.

“Inaasahan po natin na matatapos ang bakuna sa ating 1.7 million medical frontliners, health workers pagdating ng kalagitnaan ng Abril dahil meron po tayong darating na 2.3 Million vaccines ngayong March at sa early week of April.

Galvez added that in April, next to be vaccinated will be senior citizens, indigent population, and vulnerable sectors according to the priority list of the Department of Health (DOH).

Pagsapit ng Abril, isusunod natin ang pagbabakuna ng ating mga senior citizens, indigent population, vulnerable sector na ayon sa priority list ng Department of Health…”

After the vaccination of the priority sectors and when more vaccines will arrive in the country, the massive vaccination program will start in May and June.

“Pag natapos na ang pagbabakuna sa priority sectors at sa pagdating ng mas maraming bakuna ngayong Mayo at Hunyo ay masisimulan na po ang ating massive vaccination program.”

Also, Galvez added that they target to vaccinate the following numbers of Filipinos:’

• April:  1 Million Filipinos per week
• May: 2 Million Filipinos per week
• June and when production of medical supplies normalized: 3-5  Million Filipinos per week

“Inaasahan po natin na tayo ay  makapagbakuna ng isang milyong tao kada linggo ngayong Abril, dalawang milyon kada linggo ngayong Mayo, at tatlo hangang limang milyon kada linggo ngayong Hunyo at pag nagkaroon ng normalization na yung ating production sa mga medical supplies.”
